This is what the Creamer family did in celebration of our Blessed Mother's assumption into Heaven
An Assumption Wind Sock
- We took an oatmeal container and covered it with a picture
(dowloaded from the internet) of the Assumption. When you glue the
picture on, be sure the bottom of the container is at the top-and the
open end is on the bottom.
-
We glued cotton balls around the bottom to symbolize the clouds.
- The children then decorated the picture with foil star stickers.
They made a halo of stars around her head to symbolize her Queenship.
-
Then we glued streamers onto the open end of the container.
-
Lastly, thread a ribbon through a small hole in the top and tie a
knot to keep from slipping out and hang in a breezy spot outside.
As the wind sock sways in the breeze, you can almost imagine how
beautiful the Blessed Mother look as she was assumed!
