This is what the Creamer family did in celebration of our Blessed Mother's assumption into Heaven

An Assumption Wind Sock

  1. We took an oatmeal container and covered it with a picture
(dowloaded from the internet) of the Assumption. When you glue the picture on, be sure the bottom of the container is at the top-and the open end is on the bottom.
  2. We glued cotton balls around the bottom to symbolize the clouds.
  3. The children then decorated the picture with foil star stickers.
They made a halo of stars around her head to symbolize her Queenship.
  4. Then we glued streamers onto the open end of the container.
  5. Lastly, thread a ribbon through a small hole in the top and tie a
knot to keep from slipping out and hang in a breezy spot outside.

As the wind sock sways in the breeze, you can almost imagine how
beautiful the Blessed Mother look as she was assumed!
