Candle centerpiece

Select a clay-pot saucer for each child. Place a large votive candle in the center of the pot. Place little pine cones, acorns and dried flowers around the base of the candle in the pot. With a piece of raffia, tie a prayer card around the candle.
We have thanksgiving prayers in our prayer chapel.

Hand collage

You'll need a large poster board, a pencil, and crayons or markers.

On the poster board, write:
Thanksgiving - Friends and family - Join hands together - To thank God.
Using the pencil, trace each child's hand on the poster. Include Mom's and Dad's, Grandma's and Grandpa's, or other important family and friends too! Print everyone's name under his or her hand. Using the crayon or marker, trace each hand in a different color. The children might want to color the hands. Hang the poster where everyone can see it on Thanksgiving Day.
