Dear
Heavenly Father, I am so very sorry for the many times
I have offended you,
for the many times I cried out against you in my pain and suffering,
for truly did I want to be near you,
but my sinfulness and pride have driven me further from your loving
arms.
I come to you broken and in despair asking for you to forgive me of
my sins,
and for all the times I have offended you.
I can see now how blinded I have been,
how selfish in thinking that it was I who was always right
when in fact I was wrong.
It is I who have offended you in my pride and in my arrogance.
Please, dear Heavenly Father, look not upon my sins, shortcomings and
failures,
but rather strengthen me with your graces of healing and restoration.
I kneel before You, O Heavenly Father, coming by way of your beloved
Son Jesus
who intercedes for me before your August Throne.
I plead for the graces to be reconciled with those members of my family
who have become distanced from me
and those whom I have distanced,
and I ask that the barriers which keep us apart be lifted.
That there be true healing and reconciliation in our lives.
Dear Heavenly
Father, I ask you most sincerely
to teach us the power of forgiveness and unconditional love.
Form in us the image of the Holy Family of Nazareth
that we may live your Holy Will here upon earth,
that we may become all you created us to be.
Please dear Father Who art in Heaven,
turn your eyes from our sins and grant us serenity,
peace, joy and happiness.
Help us to overcome the evil which divides us,
and let the victory glorify you throughout all eternity.
Please, if in your wisdom it be possible,
permit the intercession of our Heavenly Mother,
Mary to penetrate your heart on our behalf,
sending forth graces which will heal the deep wounds we have suffered
at the hands of our loved ones,
and that we unite these sufferings with the sufferings of your Beloved
Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Teach us to be united to Him,
and that forevermore we shall be peacemakers in our families and in
the world.
Let us look always to the new creation of our family
which is in imitation of the Holy Family of Nazareth,
fathers looking to St. Joseph as an example;
mothers to the Mother Pure and Holy;
children to the child Jesus in His insurmountable love for parents,
and in doing so we shall be recreated.
Thank you for hearing our prayers.
With your help, dear Heavenly Father,
we resolve to be healed and reconciled with you
and with each who are in our families. Amen.
