A Thank-You
prayer
Thank you for
the world so sweet
Thank you for the food we eat
Thank you for the birds that sing
Thank you God for everything
Morning Offering
Father I give
to you today
All I think or do or say
All my work and all my play
This I give to You today
Good-night prayer
God our Father
I come to say
Thank You for your love today.
Thank You for my family
And all the friends You give to me.
Guard me in the dark of night
And in the morning send Your light. Amen.
Sorry Prayer
For the things
that I've done wrong
Things that I remember long
Hurting friends and those I love
I am very sorry, God
"I don't
know what to say when I pray", some young people say. The words
of the Holy Father to 700 children gathered at the Sacré Coeur
in Paris on the 25 March (the Feast of the Annunciation) may give
them some ideas. "You can build your prayer around 4 words",
he said to these children of adoration.
These are:-
Thanks, Sorry,
Please, and I love You.
We thank God
for being there and for all He has given us.
We are sorry for our faults.
We see that we are poor and ask Him for what we need.
We feel loved and love Him in return.
Not a lot of
words are needed, but these four thoughts can be the basis for true
prayer.
